SILVANA HASNA THURAIYA - the beautiful and talented star of Cyprus/Bulgaria and the Co-Organizer of “CAIRO BY CYPRUS” International Oriental Festival, in Cyprus.
SILVANA’s love for dance emerged in Oriental dance, at the age of 16 years, when she starts learning modern belly dance in one of the biggest dance schools in Nicosia, Cyprus. After her basic knowledge’s, she start looking for perfection in her field learning, to traveling around the world and take part in different workshops and well known festivals, as “AHLAN WA SAHLAN” in Egypt, “CAIRO BY NIGHT” in Greece, “CAIRO!Festival” in Hungary and others. She studied with different well-known Master Teachers worldwide, such as Ansuya, Jillina, Dina, Amir Thaleb, Zaza Hassan, Mdm Raqia Hassan, Aziza of Cairo, Mercedes Nieto, Camellia of Cairo, Lubna Emam, Asmahan, Mohamed Shahin and many others.
At this time SILVANA is one of the most famous belly dance Artists and Teachers at the beautiful island of the goddess Aphrodite – Cyprus, and she is also Costume Designer and Event Organizer!
SILVANA HASNA THURAIYA nowadays has created her personal style that combines her dynamic on the stage, female and playful nature. She expresses with her movements the passion for this dance with modern and classical elements, combined with her own style and catches the audience with her smile and magnetic expressions!

Mickael Jamal is one of the most well-known singers in the Oriental community and at the International Oriental Festivals.

Originally Lebanese, born in Beirut, but from many years ago based in Nice, France where he is owner and runs one of the biggest Lebanese Restaurants – “Ya Habibi”.

He continued studying History, but his biggest passion stay the music. He is autodidact singer, but this wasn’t problem for him to form the Lebanese TV at one of the Talent Shows there, and to sing with some of the Greatest Lebanese singers, such as Wadih El Safi, Walid Tawfik and the wonderful Sabah.

We will have the great opportunity to enjoy his amazing voice live during the 2nd Cairo by Cyprus International Oriental Festival in Larnaca, Cyprus!

Nina of Norway start dancing Oriental dance in 2003 and was totally captured by the oriental music and the femine and sensual moves of this dance.

Due to her academic studies and later career, she has been taking some classes and workshops on and off throughout these years.
For a few years she found her self absolutely lost between the Argentine tango and the Oriental dance, but at the end she found her way back to the Oriental dance and now she takes weekly classes.
Her prime teacher these years has been Majken Waerdahl who had her carrier in Cairo.

She did her first performance in 2013 during a Hafla party organized in her hometown Trondheim, and after this she start doing performances around Norway.

Nina's favorite style is Mejance and she loves to perform it. Her big dream is to learn from the stars of the Egyptian dance in Egypt and abroad, scene she finds her inspiration from them.

Cairo by Cyprus festival will be her first time performing outside her country and she is very excited.

Valentina’s first touch with the dance where at the age of 3 years old, when she took classical ballet classes for 14 years and modern dance for 2 years at “Zelias and Sophie’s Georgiadou School of Dance” in Limassol. In addition, for 10 years she studied Hip Hop and Street dance at “Evis H’Kyriakou School of Dance” where she was a member of the team for 6 years. With STREETBEATS, they participated in several competitions in Cyprus and Greece, archiving very good places and appeared also in TV shows and other social events.
After graduating from Lanitio Lyceum with Honors she continued her studies in Italy. She got the Bachelor degree in “Teaching the Italian Language” and the Master’s degree in “Promotion of Italy Abroad”, graduating with full marks and honors. During her studies in Italy she took Latin dance classes for 5 years at “Energy school of dance” and Belly dance classes at “A.S.D BAB NOUR School of dance”.
After returning to Cyprus in 2013 she wanted to continue the magic of oriental dance further more. She participated at the competition 3rd Oriental Delight 2014 and IV International festival – Oriental Dreams 2014, archiving the 2nd place of both competitions in the category Rising Star. She had workshops with Nour Adel, Tassos Horrus and Nelly.
In June 2014 she took exams for “Belly Dance Teaching Diploma” at I.D.T.A Dancing Association in Uk and passed the exams with Distinctions

Mimi is one of the first performers of the Oriental dance in Bulgaria.

Her first favorite oriental dancer and choreographer was Maria Birtcoeva, who was also and her idol at that time. Mimi visited Maria Birtcoeva's lessons since she was the first and only teacher there.

Mimi is inspired by this magic dance from an early age.
In 1993 her big dream comes true. She is hired to dance in the first newly opened Arabian restaurant in Kniazevo "Oasis",where a rich oriental program is performed. Soon Mimi gets the chance to travel and dance abroad-in Macedonia, Lebanon and Turkey. In 1997 she goes to Switzerland, where she is hired as a dancer in an Arabian restaurant in Geneva. Two years later Mimi stops dancing for some time.

In 2007 she returns to the Oriental stage. The Oriental dance become an irreplaceable part of her daily round. She takes part regularly in many international festivals in Europe, Egypt and Israel.

Besides participating in various festivals, Mimi has graduated 1 year professional training Raks Life in Berlin under the guidance of Nabila Sabha and with the special participation of Gye Shalom from London and his orchestra. There she studied different Arabian rhythms, history and technique of oriental dances.

In July 2012 Mimi successfully graduated another professional training for oriental dance teachers in Paris under the guidance of Yael Zarca in Sultana association. There she studied in a profound and extended way anatomy, technique , history, dancing styles and pedagogics - all that is necessary to create a professional teacher of oriental dances. In Mimi's opinion even if you know a lot, there is always something more to learn. That is why she never stops studying and refining her skills. In October 2013 she attended another intensive oriental dancing course with Aziza Abdul Ridha and dr. Mo Geddawi and one more time she successfully took a diploma as an international teacher and performer of oriental dances.Shi it the organizer also of "Orient el Hob" festival in Bulgaria.

Solpanova Ekaterina finished the Moscow choreographic school, the graduate of Moscow State University of Culture and art, choreography faculty.
With 2001 — 2005 Ekaterina danced at "opera and ballet theater" in Moscow.
From 2005 to 2007 She started working in Egypt, and danced in the show "The Egiptian night".
Since 2007 of the beginning pedagogical and creative activity in Moscow and the abroad.
Since 2008 is the teacher in dance "Modulus" studio.

As is the winner of many Russian and international competitions.

Sofia Anarkali is the Rising Bellydance Star of Cyprus.She had studied ballet at the early age of 5 years old and then she decided to continue with belly dancing who her teacher was Sylvia Serena and Modi. She started competing from 14 years old, she won a 3rd plce at 3rd Oriental World Cup Junior category 2010 and 2nd place at 4rth Oriental world Cup. Sofia is a multi award winner (1st winner of contest "Oriental Cyprus International Belly Dance Festival 2012", "Oriental Delight IBF 2012&2013" , "Orient Crete Festival 2014". She performed and studied with many International belly dance artists:Oscar Flores, Nelly, Orit Maftsir, Aisa Lafour,Jamilah, Suraiya,Elena Ramazanova,Marta Korzun, Natalia Kuzmina, Queenie, Modi, Fara Haraf, Alyona Krupina, Natalia Rubtsova, Kahena). She is giving regularly classes and workshops in Cyprus and from 2015 ,she will give workshops in Orient Express Festival(Austria) and Orient Crete (Greece).Don t miss to feel the pure mesmerizing energy and to be amazed from new light power of Sofia!

The main priority of our COMPETITION is to raise the profile of belly dancing in Cyprus and in the wider community, as well as to give to wonderful dancers the chance to gain International recognition for their dance skills and hard work, and help them in their career!

From our Juries’ comments our competitors will learn where they are good, and where they need more work…and in that way they will WIN lots of knowledge’s, even if they don’t win the title…
